WHAT IS HHCO ACETATE?
HHC-O-acetate is so incredibly new to the hemp scene that you won’t find a lot of information about it just yet. What we can say is that HHC-O is, in short, an acetate version of hexahydrocannabinol. Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a minor cannabinoid found in the seeds and pollen of the hemp plant, which is a hydrogenated form of THC, and is best known for providing the same effects as delta 9 THC.
Meanwhile, the “-O” portion of its name means that it’s been blended with acetic anhydride to boost its potency and essentially turn it into “super HHC”. This process makes HHC-O about 1.5x as potent.
This acetate form can be compared somewhat to THC-O-acetate (THC-O), which is made using the same process, but rather uses tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) instead of HHC as its cannabinoid to which acetic anhydride is applied. This changes its properties in a way that’s considered desirable.
HHC-O BENEFITS
- Strong mental and body experience
- Chilled
- Relaxed
- Happy
- Anxiolytic properties
- Relief
HHC-O SIDE EFFECTS
- Strong mental and physical experience
- Dry Mouth
- Headache
- May last for 1-2 hours
Taking too much HHC0, like any psychoactive compound can cause intense side effects. Again, because the compound is strong we suggest smaller dosages first then taking higher doses after time once you get comfortable with the compound and effects.
WHAT ARE THE PSYCHOACTIVE PROPERTIES OF HHC-O?
Making HHC more potent by converting it into HHC-O-acetate helps it offer an experience that feels even more like consuming delta 9 THC. HHC is already compared to delta 9 all the time, and for good reason as they seem to be utilized by the endocannabinoid system in essentially the same way. But, many people have said that the high isn’t as strong, especially when compared to many of today’s high-THC strains. HHC-O seeks to address this by increasing the high by 1.5 times that of traditional HHC.
That being said, the high that you can expect to feel may be more like that which you’d get from a high-THC strain. The high is therefore going to be more potent than traditional HHC, with around 1.5x and even more potent than either delta 8 or delta 10, so you’ll want to keep this in mind depending on your tolerance.
WHAT ARE THE NON-PSYCHOACTIVE PROPERTIES OF HHC-O?
Of course, cannabinoids offer more properties than just their ability to get us high. We know that delta 9, for instance, has a lot of non-psychoactive value as if it didn’t, there would be no medical marijuana industry. So, what are those non-psychoactive properties of HHC-O-acetate? Well, no studies have been done on this subject yet. But, again, since HHC-O is an acetate form of HHC, and HHC is the hydrogenated form of THC, we can draw plenty of very probable conclusions.
In all likelihood, HHC-O provides the same general effects as delta 9 THC that pertain to mood, physical discomfort, nausea, appetite and so on, but just in an even more potent form than what we’re used to. Because HHC and delta 9 are so closely related and so structurally similar, there’s no reason to doubt that HHC-O just generally feels like a much stronger delta 9 THC.
