It's 2022 and Cannabis still poses a lot of problems.
While alt-cannabinoids may not be cannabis under US definition, it’s derived from a variation of cannabis bred to have low levels of THC. Therefore, we decided to do what we can about it.
What happened?
Brittney Griner, a WNBA player, was recently arrested and sentenced to 9 years in prison for “drug smuggling”. In her possession she had several THC vape carts, and that qualifies under Russian law as “drug smuggling”. Unfortunately her charges reflect a sad reality, where even internationally there’s a ton of stigma surrounding the plant and its derivatives. There’s been innumerable other celebrities arrested even travelling interstate in the US.
Why does this matter?
The United States has the highest prison population in the world, even compared to large countries like China, and authoritarian countries like Russia.
These are old statistics, however it can reasonably be assumed we’re still in the lead. Cannabis legalization has been advocated for from the day it went into prohibition. There’s many champions in this fight, who utilize lobbying and lawyers to progress the mission of cannabis legalization. America generally has a significant fear of cannabis, due to decades of propaganda touting its negatively.
It’s partially all of our duties to advocate, to change minds and educate those with irrational fears. We’re going to dedicate 15% of all our profits to the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), and provide an additional 10% off current prices for all vapes/cartridges.
You can personally donate to NORML here!
